Chamel has provided legal advice to individuals and companies on various legal matters, mainly in
corporate law, civil law, real estate law, and labor/social security law. He contributed to the 2002
revision of Al Monged, a contemporary Arabic-French dictionary published by Lebanon Library, and
participated in translating the glossary of legal terms (French–Arabic–English) for Dalloz, Hachette,
and Antoine. He was also responsible for the final review of the French Civil Code translation,
published by Dalloz in collaboration with the Faculty of Law and Human Sciences at Saint Joseph
University (CEDROMA, 2012).
